Farangis Dehnavi

Farangis Dehnavi was born in Iran, where her journey with neurodivergence began. She was diagnosed with ADHD during her teenage years and later with high-functioning Autism in adulthood. She holds a Bachelor’s and Master’s degree in Clinical Psychology from Pune University and went on to complete her Ph.D. in Cognitive Psychology at the Indian Institute of Technology, Bombay, focusing on Autism Spectrum Disorder. She later continued at IIT Bombay as a Postdoctoral Fellow, expanding her work in the intersection of technology and cognitive support for autistic individuals. Her work bridges research and real life, drawing from both scientific insight and lived experience. Farangis is a fierce lover of cats, a passionate kickboxer, and holds a black belt in Kung Fu—a testament to her strength not just physically, but mentally. She is also a cancer survivor, having faced one of life’s greatest challenges with courage and grace. Farangis finds healing and meaning through writing.
