Sharanya Menon

Sharanya Menon is a high school student at The Shri Ram School, Moulsari, who envisioned Lineage Lore as a way to address the emotional trauma, loneliness, and stress faced by senior citizens in India. Spending her childhood immersed in the stories, anecdotes, and wisdom of her grandparents, Achachan and Mutuchan, Sharanya found a deep connection to her heritage and a profound appreciation for the narratives that shaped her family and culture. These experiences became the cornerstone of her mission to bridge generational divides and preserve the cultural wealth of India through intergenerational storytelling.

Sharanya’s passion for economics, mathematics, public policy, and psychology is reflected in her academic pursuits and writings. She has authored thought-provoking articles in leading publications such as The Times of India, Hindustan Times, and Down to Earth magazine, addressing topics like the One Nation One Election policy and climate change. As an active member of the UN Girl Up initiative at her school, she contributes through impactful fundraising projects and event management. Her internship at the Fortis Hospital psychology department allowed her to delve deeper into understanding mental health challenges across different age groups.
