Achala Moulik

ACHALA MOULIK was educated in Washington, New York, Rome, London and obtained an honours degree in Economics, History and International Law from London University. She was in the Indian Administrative Service and served as Education Secretary to the Government of India and Director General Archaeological Survey of India.

She has written extensively on internnational history, politcal and cultural history of Europe, physical heritage, biographies, novels, and a play - Pushkin’s Last Poem which was performed in Moscow and Saint Petersburg.

Achala Moulik was awarded the prestigious Pushkin Medal by the Russian Government for her work on Russian literature and the Sergei Yesenin Prize for promoting awareness of Russian culture.
