Sarah D'Souza

Sarah was born in Malaysia and migrated to Australia with her family in 1984. She completed a Bachelor of Arts and a Graduate Diploma in Accounting and qualified as a Certified Practicing Accountant. Her career commenced in accounting firms and progressed to working for the Australian Government, with a specific interest in the commercialisation of innovative ideas. Her accounting career allowed her to travel to many destinations in Australia, meeting amazing business owners. She loved listening to their journeys of how they started their businesses and what kept them going.

Sarah qualified as a trainer and taught accounting subjects part-time and was presented with an opportunity to write accounting books for a training organisation.

Twelve years ago, she wrote and held financial literacy workshops for children (6 years and above). She loved the interaction with children and learning of their attitudes to money. A love for writing for children developed because of their inherent ability to share their stories. Sarah’s father’s dream was to write children’s books and she is pleased to share this legacy.
