CANDID: Inspiring human stories of resilience, perseverance & focus from sciencepreneurs at Venture Center

CanDid is a compilation of stories of grit, perseverance and determination of fifteen of India’s upcoming science-based entrepreneurs. Nurtured at Venture Center, India’s top technology business incubator, these entrepreneurs share their triumphs and struggles through real life instances. Starting with Tridiagonal Solutions, which was the first start-up to be incubated at Venture Center, the book describes what it took for each one of them to reach where they are today.

From healthcare to climate action to social impact, this book profiles entrepreneurs from the deep science to technology sectors. The Indian deep-tech and science-based entrepreneurship ecosystem is still in a nascent stage, especially when compared with those in the United States, Europe or Israel. Venture Center realises how important it is to highlight success stories that will serve as an inspiration for the next generation of students, scientists, researchers and entrepreneurs to build more such innovative ventures that take on challenges of global relevance.

Venture Center, founded in December 2006, is India’s largest, award winning, leading technology business incubator for science and technology startups that has supported more than 750 science-based enterprises.
